THURSDAY 2-4 -9.25 UNITS

Here are tonight's selections:

5 Units So Mississippi -1.5 -107

A couple of Conference USA money-burners meet. Southern Miss is 5-10 against the spread, while South Florida is 6-12 ATS. Southern Miss (11-9) is just 2-7 SU/3-6 ATS on the road where they can't do anything right, getting outscored by a 72-59 average. But they catch a break here, as South Florida (6-14) is having a terrible, injury-plagued season. South Florida carries a 9-game losing streak into this game and the offense has scored 40, 52, 47, 53, 53, 57, 65, 51 and 67 points the last nine games. Southern Miss has 6'-7" Charles Gaines (15 ppg, 10 rpg) and 6'-7" sophomore Jasper Johnson (12 ppg, 6 rpg) as a nice one-two punch. Southern Miss is 2-0 SU/ATS its last two road games, winning 64-58 at Tulane and 75-72 at Houston as a +1 road dog. Southern Miss is playing better and has Gaines and Johnson up front, while South Florida will likely be looking at 10-losses in a row here.

5 Units Brown -4 -110

Brown (R: 3-7 SU, 1-3 ATS) defeated Columbia 90-81 on Saturday as Patrick Powers scored a career-high 34 points. In a game of streaks, the two teams combined for 23 3-pointers, with Powers and Columbia's Dalen Cuff each sinking six. Jason Forte scored 23 points for the Bears, including 12 of 12 from the free throw line, while Jaimie Kilburn added 13. Brown made 31 of 35 free-throw attempts, while Columbia hit 11 of 13. Harvard's on a 5 game losing steak after Saturday's 58-50 loss to Princeton. Jason Norman led Harvard with 12 points as the Crimson shot a putrid 26% from the floor. An aggressive offensive showing by Brown last week had plenty of firepower. Look for the Bears to keep the pressure on Harvard who don't seem to have it this time around.

5 Units Princeton -1 -102

The Ivy game of the week. Princeton (Road: 5-4 SU, 7-1 ATS) comes off a disappointing 67-52 loss to Penn Saturday, ending their winning streak at five. The game was the Tigers first Ivy loss as they fell to 4-1 in the league, 11-7 overall and is now a half-game behind Cornell (5-1). Will Venable led Princeton with 12 points. Princeton, which averages 13 turnovers per game, committed 10 in the first half and looked eratic on offense despite shooting 50 percent (10-of-20) from the field. On the defensive end, the Tigers were unable to stop Penn's inside-outside attack. Cornell, which shot only 28.3 percent lost to Yale 67-48 Saturday. It was the first Ivy loss for the Big Red (H: 5-2 SU, 1-1 ATS) who lead the Ivy League with 75.1 points per game. Yale led by as many as 20 early in the second. Cornell's Ka'Ron Barnes leads the league in scoring at 22 ppg. and was held to 14 points on 4 of 16 shooting. It's unlikely that Barnes will be stopped on the home court this week, so look for a shootout with Princeton rising to the occasion.

Good luck tonight my friends
